Even with the best chemicals and cleaning methods, it is difficult to have confidence that your patient is protected from infectious organisms. Chlorazene® Whirlpool Antiseptic ensures that bacteria in the hydrotherapy whirlpool tank and at the wound site are controlled. Using Chlorazene is a simple and effective method to prevent cross contamination between patients and it facilitates healing.
Chlorazene whirlpool additive has been proven to kill more pathogens than either bleach or iodine. But, unlike bleach and iodine, Chlorazene does not cause damage to healthy, healing cells.
Chlorazene effectively kills:
E-coli
MRSA
Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
Fungi
Yeasts
Enveloped and naked viruses
Algae
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Parasites
Chlorazene Advantages:

Controls gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and fungi for a non-selective, broad spectrum kill
Non-toxic that attacks bacteria, not tissue
Non-foaming to eliminate need for defoamer, saving time and money
Non-corrosive so it doesn't damage stainless steel or chrome equipment
Non-staining that keeps equipment, walls, curtains and clothing clean
Simplifies cleaning of equipment by eliminating need for repeated rinsing and scrubbing
Broad pH effective range
A Marquette University Study Reveals Chlorazene® Kills More Than 99% of Bacteria, While Promoting Wound Healing
The Marquette study demonstrated Chlorazene's effectiveness against three pathogens commonly found in or around human wounds. Chlorazene killed more than 99% of laboratory samples of Escherichia coli, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecalis without damaging human fibroblasts -- which are cells associated with the process of healing wounds and other injuries.
